THE BOOK OF QUINN (2007)

Our reader discovers an autobiographical book that takes her on a trip through the author’s traumatizing and humiliating experiences at home and school. Through the book, she finds a friend and inspiring guide. A fire is ignited within the reader,which gives her the drive to take a courageous leap en-route to achieving one of her greatest objectives. It is only on the last page that the truth is revealed.

IT’S NOT YOU, IT’S ME (2007)

It’s not you, it’s me. Who hasn’t heard that particular phrase when breaking up with someone, or heard it when being broken up with? This story takes a look at the use of that phrase from one girl’s perspective. It examines the situation from several angles: being broken up with, breaking up with someone, and then surprisingly, meeting someone new.

A documentary about some social factors present in the Squamish Nation that stem from residential school abuse, alcohol and drug addiction, and low self-esteem. Mike and Amy are co-workers putting in some late hours at the office when they find themselves in the middle of a strange event. What initially seems like an earthquake turns out to be someting much more terrifying. Together they must find safety and try to piece together what has happened. Some strong language.
