FESTIVAL DIRECTOR: RUSSELL PORTER

Russell Porter is the creator and Director of The First Step Actors’ Workshop and The Actors’ Centre. He has been working in the film and television industry for over 16 years. Within this time, Russell has gained a reputation of honesty and integrity in the industry and has been a guide to actors of all ages for over 9 years now. He is passionately committed to helping people grow in the craft of acting as well as in their lives. His gift for understanding and reaching out to others make both The First Step and The Actors’ Centre the successful programs they are.

FESTIVAL PRODUCER: ALEXANDRA OOSTEROM

Alexandra Oosterom has been the Producer of the North Shore Film Festival for over 3 years now. During this time she has helped the festival double in size and has seen this event become an important cinematic event for the North Shore. Alexandra is currently also developing the North Shore Stage Fest and the Independent Actors’ Group (an independent actors’ agency).
